Ichetucknee Family Parkground

northern california rv camping

You can stay in an RV, rent a cabin, or paddle the Ichetucknee River when you visit the Ichetucknee Family Campground. The campground is located in Fort White, Florida, and it offers all kinds of amenities.

Camping can be done in either a tent or a primitive camping area. The sewage disposal station is available for RV camping. You can also rent rafts and tubes for paddling the Ichetucknee River. A group campsite can also be booked. A large and peaceful campsite is available for those who choose to do this. The picnic tables, basketball hoops, and volleyball net are also available.

The campground is only a short drive from the Ichetucknee State Park which is an excellent spot for boating or tubing. The river runs six miles and is clear, with transparent water. It is a wonderful source of freshwater for swimming. There is also an outdoor grill if you aren’t sure whether to go on the river. You can rent a kayak and canoe.

The campground is open all year. Also, fireworks can be enjoyed at New Year's, Christmas, and Thanksgiving. A small store is located at the entrance. You will find everything you need, from cigarettes to scuba gear. You can rent tubes at the general store.

Although the campground is a great place to camp, there are some things you should remember. First, you must make sure that you know the rules. It is important to be aware of the restrictions if you are planning on traveling in an RV. It is a fine sand road. Wet feet can cause you to step on loose sand that could get into your RV. Dog owners must ensure that their dogs are not allowed to bark and must keep them in a designated area.

Another complaint is the inadequacy of the bathrooms. The bathroom facilities are located in close proximity to the main office. They are not convenient. It is not possible to use the toilets in large groups. The campground is not equipped with Wifi. If you want to book online, you will have to find alternative accommodation.

Smoakhouse is another option, serving the Ichetucknee community since 1994. The ranch and campground can be found on 50 acres. You can enjoy hiking, fishing, and even a hot breakfast for a mere $99. The ranch also features farm animals. You can also rent fully-equipped cottages.
