You might be worried about freezing temperatures if you are planning a winter RV trip. It is possible to have an enjoyable and successful trip in sub-freezing temperatures. But, it is worth taking some precautions to prepare for the cold months ahead.

First, look at the weather forecast. This is especially important for camping areas with high freezing risk. You should also consider rescheduling your trip if there's a chance of unfavorable conditions.

A blanket or two of extra blankets is a great way keep warm. Another option is to bring your own battery-powered lantern. It's not uncommon for campgrounds to offer propane bottles for rental. You may also wish to bring a pair of foot warmers.
